A Sweet Rebirth

IMG_0396.JPG

I’m illuminated
Damn near elated
Nature embraces me
A butterfly chases me

And I trail the land
I feel God’s open hands
Cradling me, guiding me
As love feels deeper than the sea

I’m supposed to be here now
I ought to be atop this Earth
And though I want to die in peace
I’ve been granted a sweet rebirth

I’m born with Autumn leaves
I treasure those who leave
Light creeps up on my path
My shadow releases wrath

I’m so grateful for clarity
I can see mankind’s purity
Man looks like my paths end
And the whole year can mend

I’m supposed to be here now
I ought to be atop of this Earth
And though I want to die in peace
I’ve been granted a sweet rebirth

Maybe my hero
Lies in the scenery
If there’s heartbreak
He can steal the scenery

Maybe my goddess
Is in the elements
I want to leave judgement
In spiritless cement

I’m supposed to be here now
I ought to be atop this Earth
And though I want to die in peace
I’ve been granted a sweet rebirth.
