The Bohemian (for Alex)

How can a man without faith
Have overwhelming wisdom?
Like a heterosexual man
Became a walking prism
How can he disconnect
From nature that sings his tune?
He carries the sun in his heart
His precious mind carries the moon

Oh, the bohemian
Oh, the bohemian

Is it a disconnection?
Or ambiguous freedom?
Do we grow in fast circles?
And take steps back like seasons?
Old passion in this new age
Is returning compassion
But we must stitch to our being
A growing man’s new sensations

Oh, the bohemian
Oh, the bohemian

And as strength thickens
Like a plot over my head
We’re walking a path
Only the alive have led

Oh, the bohemian
Oh, the bohemian.
