So suddenly
I was in a speakeasy
With masked darkness
And hypocrisy

It induced imbalance
Enough to scream
As I blindly walked into
A damaging dream

But if you can laugh
At your broken dreams
You can be broken
And connect with life
Laughing with loved ones
As they’ll always scream

The room glistened
Like electrocuting beams
There was a high
Like talking wings

And a monarch ignored me
Like an outcast
The night was expressing
Nothing can last

The angels of my city
Fly to chemistry
Love and elation
Landing on addiction

Dying from paranoia
And excessive euphoria
But God’s angels awaken
And are again innocent.
